Microsoft is rolling out an exciting new feature for its Edge browser, dubbed Game Assist. Revealed in a recent blog post, this feature, which is still in its preview phase, serves as an in-game browser designed to offer gamers tips and tricks right when they need them. This handy tool can be accessed through the Game Bar, streamlining the process of finding helpful game hints.

Interestingly, Microsoft’s research sheds some light on a common habit among gamers—88% of PC players tend to switch away from their game screens to search for advice online. The company further notes that nearly 40% of these players actively seek out guides and support during their playtime.

With Game Assist, Microsoft aims to simplify this process, making it more seamless than ever to find useful game resources. When you open a new tab while gaming, the feature smartly highlights relevant information, tailored to enhance your gaming experience. For now, this preview version is available in English and caters to a selection of popular PC games. Microsoft invites feedback from users to help fine-tune the feature further.

As it stands, Edge Game Assist is compatible with a variety of titles, including Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo 4, Fortnite, Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga, League of Legends, Minecraft, Overwatch 2, Roblox, and Valorant. This marks a significant step in integrating smoother, more responsive support within the gaming ecosystem.
