Order in Chaos: A Little Adventure in Not Really Ordering Anything
Okay, so this week, there was this whole saga about trying to grab a Switch 2. And honestly, not sure how it went down, but somehow we all managed to get one. No clue if it was luck, skill, or what. Maybe a bit of all that madness. Felt like we were outsmarting our favorite retailers, who seemed bent on making it impossible. Fun, right? Anyway, where was I?
Oh, right, listener mail! Yeah, we kinda meandered into this chat about why so many Switch 2 games are just key cards. Like, why though? Do we prefer hoarding physical copies or are we happy with just the keys? Not really sure, but it’s been eating at me. And then there’s the whole debate about Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. Should you even bother with it if you’ve still got the Wii U version gathering dust? Questions, questions…
Then there was this not-so-smooth or maybe very smooth — who can say? — pivot into James’ New Business chat. Guillaume’s swimming in The Gunk now (in a fun way, not literally, although that might be cool). Jon, meanwhile, is diving deep into Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Like, I don’t even know what era we’re in anymore with these games.
You can email your thoughts. Or not. Whatever floats your boat.
Credits time! So, Guillaume Veillette did the editing magic here. There’s this catchy “Men of Leisure” tune by Perry Burkum — check him out on SoundCloud if you like. And the Radio Free Nintendo logo? That’s all thanks to Connor Strickland. His website’s out there if you’re curious.
Oh, and the ending music! “Truth, Despair, and Hope” from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Greg picked it. Sounds like a mix of feelings right there. Nintendo owns all that good stuff.
