Sneak Peek of Wildgate Community Set for May 9!

Hey there! So, this is kinda exciting news for Xbox peeps, especially if you’re into space and, uh, chaos? Wildgate Community Preview is up, well soon, for Xbox Insiders on those fancy Xbox Series X|S things. This test drive kicks off on May 9 at 9 in the am if you’re on the west coast (or 17:00 if you’re across the pond in ol’ Blighty). Wanna dive in? There’s space (not the outer kind, the sign-up kind), so don’t be a stranger! Come hang out with a bunch of other interstellar adventurers, shooting spaceships, chasing after something called the Artifact. I mean, worst case? Stories for days.

Okay, so here’s the juicy stuff:

Epic Spaceship Battles: Imagine this – you’re blasting away, hi-tech style, luring rivals into traps. Maybe even poking around their controls, just for kicks. But, heads up, don’t cry if they mess with yours first. Ha, plans, right? When they flop, just wing it like a boss!

New Adventures, Every Match: The Reach. Sounds dramatic, yeah? It’s this vast, ever-changing map. Just don’t daydream – others might just snatch victory while you’re staring at space clouds.

Unique Prospectors: Choose your character. A bold pilot or a sly trickster? Whatever floats your spaceship. No wrong choices. Just kinda depends if you’re feeling brave or sneaky.

Explore the Reach: So there’s this place, The Reach, right? Dangerous, unpredictable, but who doesn’t like a good treasure hunt? Cosmic storms, space rats (ew), and alien hideouts packed with loot calling your name.

Outgun or Outrun: There’s this shiny thing called the Artifact. Apparently super valuable. Grab it and skedaddle to the exit. Or, y’know, just blast everyone else to bits. Last ship standing wins.

And, oh yeah, playtest times are kinda key here:

Starts: Friday, May 9, around when the coffee kicks in (9 AM PDT/17:00 BST)
Ends: Monday, May 12, before dinner (5 PM PDT/May 13, 01:00 BST)

Wanna join? Here’s how you take off:

1. Fire up your Xbox Series X|S and find that Xbox Insider Hub app. (Gotta install it if you haven’t. Pretty straightforward stuff.)
2. Cruise over to Previews > Wildgate Community Preview.
3. Hit Join. Duh.
4. Chill while it does its thing, and bam! Spot secured for the Community Preview.

Oh, and a quick heads-up: May 9, 9 AM PDT, is the big starting gun. Show up back at the Insider Hub, tap Show in Store, and you’re golden. A little nudge from Xbox Insiders will remind you it’s game on time.
