The 2025 WNBA season kicks off this week, and yeah, once again, Meta’s doing its thing by livestreaming a bunch of games on Quest through the Xtadium app and Horizon Worlds NBA Arena. Not even sure why it interests me, but here we are.
So, for all you Quest folks, you’re getting access to 20 live games. I mean, imagine being in the middle of it, 180-degree style. Kinda like being on the court… sorta? Anyway, it’s all U.S.-only via Xtadium — live, on-demand, whatever floats your boat. Virtual watch parties, anyone? You can do ’em privately in Xtadium or head to NBA Arena for the public vibe in Horizon Worlds.
Oh, and starting May 27th, they’re rolling out WNBA-branded avatar stuff. It’s all in the Horizon Worlds app if that’s your thing.
Oh, the usual geo-restrictions. Dang, if you’re near a game, you might get blocked out. Local blackouts, am I right?
