Every month, it seems like the PS Store decides to throw a little party with sales on games, right? Some of the best must-have games for PS4 and PS5 pop up with these deals. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t love a discount? One game that’s kinda sticking out to me is this post-apocalyptic shooter from 2019. Yeah, I’m talking about Metro Exodus.
### Metro Exodus: Gold Edition for $7.99? Yep, it’s Happening.
So, I hopped on the PS Store and bam, Metro Exodus: Gold Edition is just $7.99. Usually, this thing goes for about $39.99. Quick math? That’s like, what, 80% off? If you’re tempted, don’t wait too long though—the deal’s up June 12 at 2:59 a.m. ET. No kidding.
I read the game description and it’s like, “Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth blah blah blah… escape the ruins of dead Moscow, blah blah post-apocalyptic Russia.” Dramatic, right? But hey, it sounds kinda epic, so maybe it works.
Oh, and the Gold Edition includes its Expansion Pass, which is cool. You get two DLCs—The Two Colonels and Sam’s Story. Just makes the deal a bit sweeter if you ask me.
Back in 2019, when Metro Exodus came out, it got pretty solid reviews. I peeked at Metacritic and saw it has an average score of 82 from 53 critics. Not too shabby. Our own review—that was for the PS4 version—gave it an 8 out of 10. We did mention some minor technical hiccups, but nothing too crazy to be a deal-breaker.
Anyway—wait, hold on—where was I? Oh yeah, deals. Just keep an eye out for more awesome PS Store discounts during PlayStation’s State of Play. Who doesn’t love a good bargain marathon?
