They’re letting us fans vote on a new companion! I know, wild. You get to choose the species, its vibe, and even the clothes. I can’t remember the last time a game let me pick outfits like this. Anyway, voting’s open till June 9, just saying.
And speaking of new things, Peter Pan’s flying in on June 18. Then, Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora — yep, the one with the nap issues — is arriving on July 9. But that one’s a paid update, if I remember right. These characters just keep on coming.
Okay, wait. I got sidetracked thinking about how I always wanted a dragon as a pet. Seriously. They had this vote where you could choose between, like, a baby dragon and other animals — 41% went for the dragon. Cottagecore aesthetic won too. Not really my thing, but hey, I get it. Oh, and they’re rolling out this thing where you can build friendship levels with your companions starting June 18. Like, you hang out with them, and boom! Friendship levels up. Rewards and stuff. It’s super similar to what you do with the regular villagers, except now you’ve got a dragon buddy. Or whatever else you picked.
What else? Yeah, they’re planning more updates. Something about Inside Out — you know, those little emotion guys. And then Beauty and the Beast will make a comeback in fall. New characters, “enchanting duo,” they said. Sounds like a fairytale, right? Plus, in winter, there might be a new character from Cinderella. I mean, I don’t remember asking for another Cinderella thing, but I’m not complaining either.
