Man, it’s all about the G, right? Or maybe not. Anyway, we’ve got an all-email jamboree going on because we’re knee-deep in catching up on stuff. James is outta here this week, and honestly, maybe that’s a good thing. Or not. Depends on how you look at it. Jon’s in charge, though, and he’s bringing some, let’s say, “unique” style back to the discussion. Dignity, professionalism — nah, just kidding.
So, we gotta talk about Jon’s crazy trip down the GameStop rabbit hole. Believe me, it’s a saga. Something about Pro Memberships? Not even sure how we got sucked into that one, but here we are. Come to think of it, the Switch 2 deserves a shout-out. Remember those games from back in the day? Wouldn’t they be epic with a little upgrade magic? Sounds good, right?
There’s this bit after the break — F-Zero GX, anyone? Man, that game can really dish out the punishment. Makes you question your sanity. Why do we love it again? Oh, yeah, because it’s awesome. But, like, would Nintendo actually bring new stuff to their virtual consoles? That’s the big mystery. Thinking out loud here, but wouldn’t a modern Princess Peach game just be the thing? Do I even have a point? Maybe I lost it somewhere.
And here’s a kicker: “Git Gud” should honestly be “Git Gui’d.” Seriously, study those tracks, my friend. Or don’t — nobody’s judging here.
This whole thing, well, Guillaume Veillette put it together, probably while humming our theme by Perry Burkum — which, side note, is quite the tune. Connor Strickland’s got the logo covered. Check out his site, if you’re into that sort of thing. And for a sweet treat, Greg wrapped us up with “Birdman” from Pilotwings 64. That game… no words, just respect.
So here we are. Maybe none of this made sense, but hey, life’s like that sometimes.
