Infinity Nikki’s latest patch, Version 1.5, has been a real rollercoaster. Papergames, the brain behind it, stepped up to apologize for the bumpy launch. It was supposed to be this big, shiny update with co-op multiplayer and a Dye System (who doesn’t love dressing up in new colors, right?), but instead, it’s been kind of a mess.
Let me take you back a bit. The game came out in December 2024 and was a hit right off the bat, raking in, like, $850 million in the first month. Talk about a splash! Papergames kept the updates coming pretty regularly, you know, like one every month — just enough to keep players hooked but not overwhelmed.
But about this Version 1.5… yeah, it was supposed to be great. Instead, people were like, “Uh, why can’t I log in?” or “Hey, this outfit’s glitching.” Not the best feedback. And then there were those awkward silence moments when the screen just decided not to work. Ever had tech just refuse to cooperate? Yeah, it’s that.
Papergames did push out a few patches already. Some of the major stuff, like login issues and oddball outfit displays, are hopefully sorted now. But there’s a to-do list as long as my arm, with things like resolution settings bugging out and PS5 startup errors — ’cause of course, things have to get quirky on the PS5 too.
It seems like they’re working on smoothing out those multiplayer hitches and tweaking the DIY Workshop and Color Lookbook. Makes you wonder why they didn’t iron out all this in beta, doesn’t it? I mean, trust issues, right?
Anyhow, amidst all this storm, let’s not forget they’ve launched on more platforms like Steam and Epic Games Store. So, yay for PC players getting their hands on those PlayStation achievements.
There’s a glimmer of hope that once they get through this patching marathon, Version 1.5 might just turn things around for the better. But for now, fans are keeping an eye on how this saga unfolds, like waiting for a plot twist in your favorite TV show. Who knows what Papergames has up their sleeve next?
