CD Projekt RED has officially announced that they’re leveraging Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology to assist in bringing Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
In a conversation with Digital Foundry, the developers explained, “We’re deploying a version of DLSS designed for the Nintendo Switch 2, utilizing Nvidia’s Tensor cores. This allows the game to employ DLSS across all four modes: whether you’re gaming in handheld or docked mode, or toggling between performance and quality settings.”
Furthermore, they elaborated on their current goals, stating, “For docked quality, docked performance, and handheld quality modes, we’re aiming for a 1080p resolution. In handheld performance mode, the target is set to 720p.”
This action-packed RPG offers players the opportunity to dive into the role of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary navigating the treacherous landscape of Night City. Experience the base game along with its thrilling spy-themed expansion, Phantom Liberty.
The game has been fine-tuned for each mode it supports. This includes incorporating motion controls during battles, a Gyroscope Mode for enhanced precision, and the flexibility to tap, swipe, or pinch through menus and inventories. Additionally, the Joy-Con 2 (R) can be used as a mouse control option.
Mark your calendars, as Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is set to make its debut both in physical form and digitally via the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
