Elden Ring, a celebrated action RPG, has impressively surpassed 28.6 million copies sold. Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, shared this remarkable achievement recently, coinciding with their announcement of a new multiplayer-focused spin-off, Nightreign, at The Game Awards last week. These figures reflect sales up until the end of September.
The last time we got an update on Elden Ring’s sales was back in June, when the game had hit 25 million copies. Since then, an additional 3.6 million copies have been sold, surely bolstered by enticing discounts and the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion during the summer.
In an insightful tidbit shared on Twitter by Niko Partners’ Daniel Ahmad, the newly reached sales milestone for Elden Ring means it has now outsold the entire Dark Souls series, which has moved 27 million copies since its launch in 2011.
