Okay, picture this: I’m trying to keep up with all the stuff happening on the Nintendo eShop this week, and, wow, it’s a lot. But hey, Fantasy Life i finally showed up! Been waiting ages for this one, and after all those trailers and delays, here it is. It’s like stepping into a world where you can pick from 14 different life paths. You build your own town, play around in the past—total freedom vibe. Oh, and you can cross-play on consoles. Sounds overwhelming in a good way, right?
Now, let’s switch gears (pun-intended) to music—Nintendo’s been expanding their tunes collection, and this week we got classics from Kid Icarus dropping. I tell ya, those Famicom and NES sounds just hit differently. Retro tunes are like comfort food for the ears or something.
Speaking of retro, Killer Instinct Gold from the good old N64 days is making a comeback on Nintendo Switch Online. It’s a fighter game, in case you didn’t know, and we kind of raved about it in last week’s Pure Nintendo Podcast. Who doesn’t like a 70-hit Ultra Combo? C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! Ah, memories.
Looking into the future, the Switch 2 looms on the horizon like an anticipatory…cloud? Storm? You get what I mean. Anyway, new pre-orders are out for it already, and among the picks are Hitman, Kunitsu-Gami, and Survival Kids. Not going to lie, Survival Kids sounds like you’re diving into an attic, finding an old map, and then whoosh—you’re on a wild adventure. I need a map like that.
Back to the present, or at least the current Nintendo Switch, there are some titles vying for attention too, like Please, Don’t Touch the Artwork 2. Seems intriguing, but I’m all caught up in the Switch 2 buzz right now.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is like the main event. It’s the new chapter in this Fantasy Life saga, and you get to pick from 14, what do they call ’em, “Lives.” Swap around whenever, explore islands, build towns—it’s like, choose-your-own-adventure, Nintendo style. And, bonus! You can team up with three friends online.
For the nostalgia buffs, Killer Instinct Gold is here to test your battle skills with its 1996 glory. Seriously, they hyped this one with all its modes—Arcade, Team, Tournament, and that Training mode which you’ll need because, trust me, pulling off those moves is no joke.
On the pre-order side: Hitman World of Assassination really brings that stealth mission heat, Kunitsu-Gami offers that dance-like sword play (yeah, that’s a thing), and Survival Kids looks like a co-op quest for the ages. Probably wouldn’t survive in real life, but it’s a game! So who cares?
Music now—Kid Icarus tracks are floating down from Angel Land, or something like that. Just imagine golden melodies or angels with boomboxes. My imagination, sorry.
Activities? Creator’s Voice dives into Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. This series gets a new entry, apparently a whole untold tale of battles and stuff. Feels epic.
Lastly, waking up’s a bit different now—Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo serves up Animal Crossing: New Horizons themes. Wake up on an island paradise. Sounds cheesy, but hey, there’s a free update.
That’s the scoop. Sort of.
