Man, June’s Capcom Spotlight? Yeah, everyone’s eyes were on that Resident Evil Requiem bit. I mean, we all kinda expected this massive gameplay blowout—like, you know, a real show. But, surprise! Didn’t really happen.
Instead, they threw us a curveball with one of those Creators’ Message videos. You know the type—lots of developer chit-chat and not as much of that juicy gameplay magic. It’s like, come on, guys, give us the goods!
But, okay, there’s still something to chew on here. Turns out Capcom is digging into the Ashcroft family stuff—that’s the connection, apparently. So, now we have Grace, stepping in with all her Ashcroft lineage. Makes you wonder about those deep, convoluted threads tying back to the old Raccoon City days, right? It’s their big 30th, so sure, why not?
And here’s the kicker: Why drop Leon Kennedy? Fans were like, “Okay, but why not the guy with the iconic hair?” Simple enough—Leon’s too tough. They wanted someone who might scream a bit more, I guess. Enter Grace. She’s like one of us, supposedly. Freaks out, but still handy with firearms. An FBI agent in way over her head, but that’s why we’re rooting for her, I suppose.
Now, about the gameplay. You can swap between first and third-person views, which is kinda cool. Capcom’s just letting folks play how they like, you know? It’s like, do whatever, we’re chill.
And, mark your calendars, because this spooky carnival rolls in on February 27, 2026. Get your PCs, PS5s, or those new-fangled Xbox Series X/S ready. Should be a ride, or at least that’s what we’re hoping. Fingers crossed, right?
