Alright, so I stumbled upon this funky new thing from KIWI Design, right? It’s called the K4 Duo. Seriously, I had no clue I needed this until now. So, this contraption is basically an audio and battery head strap made for the Quest 3. Compatible with both Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets—which, okay, is probably a good thing if you’re into that sort of techy jazz.
The cool part? These speakers you can fiddle with—rotate ’em to wherever your ears feel like chilling. They call it the ‘K4 Duo AIO Audio Head Strap with Battery,’ but honestly, those long names… I’m just calling it the K4 Duo. Anyway, plug it into the USB-C port and boom. You get to choose between using the headset’s audio or this thing. What a time to be alive.
And the battery, oh man, it’s got a 2650mAh capacity. No clue why that exact number feels important but there it is. Weighs about 459 grams, which sounds heavy or light depending on what you usually lug around, I guess. Has all that typical KIWI stuff: a wheel at the back to tighten it (yeah, those are kinda useful), dual charging feature, memory foam—because comfort is key—and a top strap design. Not sure what makes the top one special but, you know, it’s there.
Here’s the catch, or maybe it’s not—depends on how you see it—we haven’t exactly tested this thing thoroughly yet. Gotta see if it makes our list of top Quest 3 and 3S gear, which is an ever-changing saga. Fun fact: we were pretty into KIWI’s other head straps last year, even called the K4 Boost Battery Strap our fave for Quest 3. Who knew we’d get all emotional over head straps?
We’ll revisit our top picks soon-ish. Till then, if you’re itching to beat me to it, you can snatch up the K4 Duo for $159.99 on KIWI’s site. Talk about living in the future.
