What’s Up with Disney Dreamlight Valley? A Pretty Disorganized Dive
Okay, so here’s the scoop. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s got this update happening on June 18—Mysteries of Skull Rock. No idea who came up with that name, but it’s bringing Peter Pan and all his Lost Boys shenanigans. Plus, if you’ve forked out for the Expansion Pass—mark your calendar for July 9. That’s when Storybook Vale Part 2 drops with Maleficent and Aurora. And yeah, there’s more coming in 2025. Inside Out, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella. The whole works. I mean, they’re going all out.
So, if you’re hanging out in this dreamlike place already, you’ve probably noticed some new faces popping up. Aladdin and Jasmine strutted in with the Tales of Agrabah update back in February, while Alice and the Cheshire Cat slipped in during the April Wonderland Whimsy. Gotta love how they’re throwing fairy tales at us like confetti.
Anyway, the really juicy bit—everyone’s been speculating (like, a lot) about Peter Pan dropping in as a legit villager. Yep, it’s happening in the Skull Rock update. You get to help him round up some Lost Boys. Saw a vid where Vanellope, Mike Wazowski, WALL-E, and Donald Duck are just… there. No clue why that stuck in my head. Oh, and they’re bringing this Adventures in Neverland Star Path. Lots of pirate hats, mermaid skirts. Go figure.
Right, almost forgot. The update isn’t just about Peter. There’s this whole thing with The Forgotten—a former antagonist or whatever. You can name ‘em, buddy up, get Friendship Items. Like, who knew you could get chummy with former enemies?
Then, following the Mayhem of Skull Rock (see what I did there?), they’re hitting us with Storybook Vale Part 2. Maleficent’s back—kinda scary, wouldn’t you say? And Aurora joins the fray, which is cool if you’re Team Princess. New colors of Snippets (whatever those are) and some Puzzling Tales to crack open. They’re teasing more for late summer through winter. Hope your Disney hearts are ready for Inside Out, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella.
So, there it is in all its clunky glory. Disney’s got plans on plans. If you’re in the game, buckle up. And if you’re not… well, maybe it’s time to jump in? Or not. Up to you.
