Palworld to Introduce Huge New Island in December Update

Pocket Pair, the developer behind the well-loved multiplayer survival game Palworld, has just announced a game-changing update set for December 2024. This upcoming expansion promises to be the most extensive and ambitious ever, adding a new island that will dwarf all previous maps in the game.

Palworld, which hit the market in January 2024, has been a phenomenal success. Despite skipping PlayStation platforms initially, the game managed to capture a massive audience on Xbox and PC. An announcement on Pocket Pair’s Twitter page revealed that the game will soon receive its “largest, harshest, and most mysterious” map addition–a new island set to be six times the size of the existing Sakurajima map, which itself was a significant update introduced last June. Though specifics about the new island remain closely under wraps, sneak peeks reveal a landscape featuring green crystal-infused caves and a picturesque golden autumn forest.

Alongside the excitement of the new update, Pocket Pair has temporarily slashed Palworld’s price by 25% across all platforms. This discount runs until December 3, 2024, so if you haven’t picked up the game yet, now might be the perfect time, especially with the major update right around the corner. As with the previous Sakurajima update, players can likely anticipate an array of new content, including Pals, arenas, weapons, items, cosmetics, and more.

Beyond the immediate future, Palworld fans have even more to look forward to. Pocket Pair has hinted at an intriguing crossover with the popular action-adventure game Terraria, which has sparked significant excitement within both gaming communities.
