This unexpected decision was shared by the company in a LinkedIn post, where they also mentioned actively seeking a new partner to move forward. Known for being led by Mac Walters, a veteran from BioWare, Worlds Untold made its debut in November 2023. Initially, the studio was supported by NetEase, a Chinese gaming powerhouse. “This wasn’t a decision made in haste—it’s been an intensely personal journey, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a team,” said the studio in their LinkedIn statement.
