THQ Nordic just pulled off their 2025 Showcase, and wow, it was a ride. We got fresh insights on Tides of Tomorrow, Spongebob Squarepants: Titans of the Tide, the Gothic 1 Remake, and yep, even more stuff. Here’s my take on what’s coming.
So, picture this: Tarsier, the folks behind Little Nightmares, are diving into a new horror adventure called Reanimal. Seriously, the gameplay trailer has some wild new environments and characters. Monsters? Friends? It’s like a fever dream of surviving in this crazy gamescape, and you can even team up with a buddy online or on the couch for some shared freaking-out moments.
And for something less spine-chilling, we’ve got Spongebob Squarepants: Titans of the Tide. Pre-orders are open, and it’s hitting PS5 on November 18. You can now switch between Patrick and Spongebob. Finally, David Hasselhoff’s songs are in there too—because why not?
If you’re a Spongebob superfan, there are bundles galore. Digital goodies, collectible stuff like Steelbooks and keychains. It’s like SpongeBob Christmas came early.
Oh, and Gothic RPG fans, listen up! The Gothic 1 Remake is happening, thanks to Alkimia Interactive’s love for the genre. You can check out the Gothic 1 demo now. The whole revisiting-the-Mines scenario without spoilers is here and ready.
Next up, Eternal Life of Goldman. This vibrant-dark (is that even a combo?) platformer demands precision. It’s packed with complex scenes and a story that, honestly, looks pretty intriguing. Puzzles, characters, the works.
Tides of Tomorrow caught my eye during the showcase too. Digixart’s, the brains behind Route 96, are mixing storytelling and gameplay in a way that the player’s choices steer the ship. The world’s basically your canvas—or playground, whichever sounds cooler.
Now, if Wreckfest was your go-to for blowing off steam like me, then rejoice! BugBear Entertainment is brewing up a sequel to the demolition derby we know and love. Wreckfest 2 for PS5 comes at ya in 2026.
Titan Quest II also gets a shout-out. This ARPG lets you play in a mythology-rich world where you can mash up masteries to craft your own hero. Explore ancient Greece and battle legendary creatures. Honestly, what’s not to love?
Oh, and Wreckreation’s wild, combining arcade racing in an open world where you can customize everything. Imagine racing over a dinosaur’s head. Yep, they’ve made that. You can switch up everything right there in-game. Sounds kind of fun, doesn’t it?
I mean, this showcase? Pretty packed. And we might even get to play some of these games in a few weeks at Gamescom. Can’t wait!
