Alright, so Nintendo’s gone and dropped this eight-minute teaser thing for Drag x Drive. It’s kinda like dangling a carrot or something. Oh, they’re gearing up for this big Global Jam demo thing—happening on a weekend, August 9th and 10th, 2025, if I’ve got my calendar right. Saturday to Sunday. Not sure why those dates stuck with me, but hey, here we are.
So, they first spilled the beans during their Nintendo Direct show—it’s all about the Nintendo Switch 2. Fancy, huh? Game vibes? Picture this: you’ve got this online three-on-three sports match going on. They’ve got a twist though, and hear me out—called Drag and Drive. Sounds like a DIY project. You use both Joy-Con 2 and your mouse—yes, you heard right—to steer, speed up, do tricks, maybe even slam dunk. I mean, who doesn’t like to show off?
Okay, here’s where my brain did that random thing it does. We played it a bit, and it was fun—that “unexpected” kinda fun. But, you know, questions started popping up faster than popcorn. Was it about Drag x Drive being the next big thing? Maybe. Or was it just too many what-ifs floating around? The dual controls work, surprisingly. But—there’s always a but—I can’t help wonder if it’ll really reel people in. Like, will folks keep playing, or is it a one-week wonder?
This game’s landing on the Nintendo eShop—no physical copies in the wild—and is heading straight to the Switch 2 on August 14, 2025. Mark your calendars or don’t. Totally up to you.
And if you’re curious—totally random—the video’s floating somewhere on YouTube. Look it up, or maybe I’ll drop the link when I find it. Or forget to, because that happens too. Anyway, that’s my scoop.
