Whoa, Doomfist got the boot from Overwatch 2’s competitive play. Not a permanent ban or anything, just a pause because of some weird glitch letting him power up his Rocket Punch like, whenever. Sorta like finding an old cheat code from back in the day. He’ll be back soon though, once they squash that bug.
Doomfist’s story? Quite the rollercoaster. Started as a damage dealer in Overwatch 1 and then bam! Tank life in Overwatch 2. I wonder if he wanted that change or if it was one of those corporate decisions. Anyway, heroes change; that’s the game now, right?
So there’s this crazy interaction with his abilities that’s made him kinda OP. It’s like, you’d max out your ultimate, then hit Power Block, and your Rocket Punch becomes unstoppable. But get this—using it doesn’t even drain your ultimate charge. That’s gotta be a programmer’s “Oops!” moment.
Saw some footage from this person, Lo-fi Youth, on Twitter, just showing off that glitch. Wild stuff. It’s like seeing your favorite character break character, you know? But not everyone’s locked out. Quick Play and Arcade are still fair game, so you can mess around there if you’re feeling brave.
Blizzard’s probably not thrilled, but they’ll fix it. They always do, right? But oh man, bugs like these are why I can’t stay mad at video games—they’re just unpredictable sometimes.
Oh, and new season’s coming up! Doomfist might even see more tweaks, for better or worse. Just pray no new bugs pop up when they roll out those updates. Imagine a map with invisible walls or something. Anyway, can’t wait to see if Doomfist gets a buff, or if they’ll play it safe. Either way, gaming’s just one big waiting game sometimes… but that’s half the fun, right?
