Capcom is stirring up excitement with the news that its eagerly awaited action RPG, launching on February 28, 2025, will be optimized for the PS5 Pro right from the start. Monster Hunter Wilds is set to benefit from a day-one patch featuring these enhancements, although exact details remain under wraps for now. Nonetheless, Capcom has given us a glimpse of the expected console graphics and resolution goals.
### Monster Hunter Wilds Joins the Ranks of PS5 Pro Enhanced Games
In a recent community update before the game’s release, Capcom revealed that the standard PS5 version of Monster Hunter Wilds will come with two modes: ‘Prioritize Graphics’ and ‘Prioritize Framerate’. The ‘Prioritize Graphics’ mode will offer output/rendering resolutions of 3840 x 2160 and 3072 x 1728 at 30 frames per second. On the other hand, ‘Prioritize Framerate’ aims for 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080 at a smoother 60 frames per second.
Meanwhile, over on the platform formerly known as Twitter, Capcom assured fans that they’ve been addressing some rendering hiccups identified during the Open Beta Test and are making consistent progress ahead of launch. In fact, the team shared an early look at their improved “Prioritize Performance” mode running on the PS5, giving players hope for a seamless experience.
Though the open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds did reveal some performance concerns, it was the PC version that seemed to bear the brunt of these issues. Capcom has a recent history of dealing with performance problems on the PS5, as seen with Dragon’s Dogma 2. Thankfully, the developers are tackling the PS5 Pro patch for Monster Hunter Wilds head-on before its release, allowing them valuable time to iron out any potential kinks.
