Decemberborn Interactive said they’re cooking up something new—Cathedral: Crow’s Curse, coming to the Nintendo Switch. Or so they say. Who even keeps track of these things? Anyway, this game’s a standalone prequel to Cathedral. You know, like a backstory for Crow, our edgy Shade Sentinel hero, who seems to have a knack for wandering into spooky forests and crumbling old ruins. And why? Oh, just to find out why the whole Shade Forest is feeling all out of whack. Like, what’s even happening there? Who knows!
And the fighting? It’s supposed to be one of those “fast and skill-based” types. So, if you’re into dodging, blocking, and delivering that perfect parry, this might be your jam. But wait—there’s more! Turns out you can be sneaky too, creeping past enemies like a cat in the night. Or maybe you’ll just jab them in the back. Stealth, my friends… because why go in loud when you can just sneak around like a mischievous squirrel?
Eric Lavesson, the dude behind Decemberborn Interactive, had a few words to say. Something about them loving games and pouring their hearts into this one. It’s like, cool man, go tell your story! Hope that love’s dripping from every pixel and punch but… who’s to say, right?
Some of the big highlights? Oh, don’t get me started. Fast fights, seamless worlds, sneaky moves… and, of course, upgrades galore. Discover stuff! Unlock things! Touch buttons? Well, maybe not the last one exactly, but you get it.
Anyway, they’re launching it digitally—because who buys physical copies anymore? On the Nintendo eShop, no less. Global release. Date? Who even knows. I guess it’ll just show up eventually. Or not. Keep your eyes peeled, I guess. Or don’t. Up to you.
And oh, there’s a trailer somewhere in the wild. Maybe on YouTube or in your imagination. Take a peek! Or maybe just wait until this mysterious release graces our screens.
