Alright, so here’s the thing. I was skimming an article about this VR game — “Grit and Valor – 1949” or something — and I just had to ramble about it. So, this game, right? It’s like… imagine running a squad of tiny mech warriors. I know, sounds a bit nuts, but stay with me.
Apparently, it’s getting VR support soon. This means if you’ve got one of those fancy Quest headsets or PSVR 2 or even SteamVR — bam, you’re in. Picture this: you’re in the cockpit, fiddling with buttons, trying to smack down the Evil Axis. Why does that name crack me up? No idea. But hey, it’s part of the charm.
Anyway, I guess this game dropped on PC earlier this year — didn’t catch it then, but now it feels like a big deal. You get to pick your own mech style. Like, do you go for speed or power? And those pilots? They’ve got personalities, apparently. You can upgrade all sorts of bits too, like engines and legs. Wait… do mechs have legs? Right, they do. Obviously.
The folks at Milky Tea Studios (what a name, right?) teamed up with another crew called nDreams to pull off this VR magic. Imagine reaching out, moving mechs around like they’re chess pieces. Not my thing usually, but the hands-on bit sounds kind of tempting.
Just to keep you in the loop — and since I’m rambling anyway — the game’s hitting stores on August 21st. Quest users, PS folks, Steam peeps, you’re all covered. Makes me wonder if this is going to change the whole mech game landscape. Or maybe it’s just another drop in the bucket? Either way, August isn’t too far off, so I guess we’ll see soon enough.
